Simple Marketing Consultancy, got some good news this week as we received a letter from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) announcing that company director, Bev Cook has had her Chartered Marketer status re-approved for another year.
Like other professions, the CIM like to ensure its members’ practice continued professional development and ask for evidence of ongoing learning before they renew their charter marketer status.
For Bev to retain her Chartered Marketer status, she had to complete 35 hours of continued professional development (CPD), complete an on-line skills assessment questionnaire and write four reflective statements answering how in her role at Simple Marketing Consultancy, she has continuously improved her skills.
Her reflective statements were based on the following areas:
- Integrated Marketing Communications
- Digital integration
- Marketing Strategy
- Marketing Intelligence
Commenting on the award Bev added, “I qualified as a member of the CIM in 1998 and since then I have renewed my CPD to enable me to become a Chartered Marketer every year. I firmly believe the qualification helps differentiate the advice we give to our clients as they can rest assured that they are getting advice from fully qualified marketing professionals.
Founded in 1911, The Chartered Institute of Marketing is a professional marketing body. It has over 30,000 members, including more than 3,000 registered Chartered Marketers. CIM offers 130 study centres in 36 countries, and exam centres in 132 countries.
