Sponsorship Raises Record Amount For Help A Nottinghamshire Child

Help a Nottinghamshire Child

Up to 70 Nottinghamshire school children will benefit from a recent event held by the Galleries of Justice Museum. The Museum’s Unique Connections business networking wine tasting event was a huge success, raising £1,076.

The money raised will go to ‘Help a Nottinghamshire Child’, the museum’s charitable fund raising appeal which helps young people stay away from crime and out of prison by gaining a practical understanding of the law, justice system and its history, so they can be inspired by their rights and responsibilities to play an active role in society. Hourlier Wines, who supplied the wine for the event also donated a percentage of their sales on the evening to the appeal.

Help a Nottinghamshire ChildNicola Burley, the Executive Director at the Galleries of Justice Museum said. “The wine tasting was a sell-out again and we’re thrilled by the amount raised for Help a Nottinghamshire Child. We’re very grateful to Simple Marketing Consultancy, who sponsored the event, and to everyone who supported us in raising this money. It’s tremendously fulfilling to see how the money raised helps educate young people from all over Nottinghamshire.”

The event, which was attended by 60 local business people was sponsored by Simple Marketing Consultancy, a Nottingham-based business which advises family and owner managed businesses and professional services firms how to get the best return on their marketing budget. Bev Cook, Managing Director of Simple Marketing Consultancy said, “It was a pleasure to sponsor this event. Any initiative like Help A Nottinghashire Child, aimed at steering our young people away from a life of crime by opening their eyes to more rewarding career alternatives is definitely worth supporting and I am delighted to hear how much was raised.”

The wine tasting was part of the Galleries of Justice Museums Unique Connections Business Networking events. The next event will be a 1960s themed evening with headline sponsors Hallam Internet and Russell Scanlan, held at the Park Plaza Hotel. Tickets for the event can be purchased on the museum’s website:www.galleriesofjustice.org.uk and money raised will go towards the museum’s Help a Nottinghamshire Child Appeal.
